1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for yourestatekit.co.uk is YourEstateKit, of 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU, United Kingdom, contactable at support@yourestatekit.co.uk. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

2. The data we collect

When you buy a kit

  • Your name and email address, as entered at checkout.
  • Order details: the product bought, amount, currency, date and a payment reference.
  • We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own secure pages.

When you browse the Site

  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you reached the Site (for example from an advert).
  • Cookie and similar identifiers — see section 5.

When you contact us

  • The contents of your message and your email address.

3. How and why we use it

  • To deliver your order — provide your download, confirm payment, give support and handle refunds. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • To keep required records — accounting and tax records of sales. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • To measure and improve the Site and our advertising — understand which pages and adverts lead to purchases, via cookies and the Meta Pixel. Lawful basis: your consent where required by PECR; otherwise our legitimate interest in running the business effectively.
  • To respond to enquiries and prevent abuse — legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them (and you can withdraw that agreement at any time).

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers who make the Site work, each acting under their own security obligations:

  • Stripe — payment processing (Stripe is an independent controller of the payment data you enter on its pages).
  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel, where you consent (see section 5).
  • Our email delivery provider — if and when order emails are enabled, to send your order confirmation and download link.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to professional advisers under confidentiality.

5. Cookies and the Meta Pixel

The Site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary — used to make checkout and delivery work (for example, linking your payment to your download). These do not require consent.
  • Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel) — records that a page was viewed, that a checkout was started and that a purchase was completed, so we can measure whether our advertising works. Meta may associate this with your Meta account under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can control how Meta uses data about you in your Meta ad preferences. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, we rely on the choice you make.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers (for example Stripe, Vercel and Meta) process data in the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, UK International Data Transfer Agreements, or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

7. How long we keep data

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years after the tax year of the sale, as required for UK accounting and tax purposes.
  • Support correspondence: up to 2 years after the matter is closed.
  • Analytics and advertising data: per the cookie lifetimes described above, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it; restrict or object to processing (including any direct marketing, at any time); data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email support@yourestatekit.co.uk — we respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

9. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS; payments are processed by Stripe under PCI-DSS; download links are signed and time-limited; and access to order data is restricted. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

10. Children

The Site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18. If you believe a child's data has been provided to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above always shows the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
